Through licensing agreements, BKE grew into a national company with more than 150 locations and was purchased in 2007 by Greg Jones, Bob Stocker and Merritt Green who launched the franchise business model in Northern Virginia in January 2008.

Before joining BookKeeping Express, Mr Mueller was a 27-year managing partner of Accenture plc, a global organization that provides management consulting, technology and outsourcing services. Keith Mueller was named the CEO of BookKeeping Express after serving on the board of the franchise company since 2010. Credited with helping to build the BookKeeping Express Team Center as a board member, Mueller’s objectives are to bring cutting edge modernization to business bookkeeping and to provide further value to the brand’s clients by better integrating people, processes and technology. As CEO, Mr Mueller will put an even higher emphasis on developing the processes, technologies and people to benefit the end user small business owner.
Greg S. Jones
Before becoming involved with BookKeeping Express, Greg Jones was Vice President of Sales for Fransmart, LLC in Alexandria, Virginia, a company specializing in franchise sales, development, and support for the benefit of both franchisors and franchisees. Mr Jones has served in numerous senior executive roles ranging from sales and business development, to executive and operating officer in a variety of emerging enterprises to traditional business units of leading corporations. Mr Jones has been a partner in Fairfax, Virginia-based Garrettson-Jones Properties since 2001, specializing in real estate, and Five Guys Burgers and Fries franchise development in Florida.
Cesar De Leon
Vice President of Business Development
Mr DeLeon has been the Vice President of Business Development since February 2011, and was the Director of Business Development from January 2009 to January 2011. From September 2005 to January 2009, Mr DeLeon was Director of Franchise Development for Fransmart, LLC in Alexandria, Virginia.
Lauren M. McKenna
Vice President of Training and Franchisee Development
Ms McKenna has been the Vice President of Training and Franchisee Development since February 2011, and was the Business Manager from December 2009 to January 2011. She has experience in many small business industries, such as banking and engineering. From April 2006 to September 2008, Ms McKenna was Senior Administrator of Franchising for Kidville in New York, New York.
Jonathan H. Grinnon, CFA
Director of Finance
Mr. Grinnon has been working with Bookkeeping Express since January 2011. He has served as the CFO of 2 marketing and promotions organizations and has been involved with multiple startup companies, where he helped design business plans, establish new offices and secure seed capital. Mr Grinnon began his career at The Blackstone Group, working in the Internal Finance department as well as directly with the CFO on special projects. Mr Grinnon is a graduate of the Villanova School of Business, with a major in Finance, is a CFA Charterholder and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
